A work of enduring excellence. The festival is open to well-maintained vessels of traditional construction built to a classic design, or at the discretion of the Festival committee.
A small sailing vessel (20’ - 25’) with minimum cruising accommodations (i.e. shelter, bunks, and galley). Folkboats and Sailorettes would be included in this category.
A small power boat (under 25’) with minimal cruising accommodations (i.e. galley, bunks, shelter).
A planing open boat used for commuting, water-skiing, and just plain racing about.
A small open boat designed to be propelled by oars.
A vessel that was designed, built and used for work, now converted for pleasure use.
A wooden vessel, power or sail designed, and built after 1955, the design and construction of which are in keeping with our pre-1956 entrants.
A traditionally built boat, power or sail, constructed after 1955 but to a pre-1956 design.
Introduced in 1990 -- a classic design, this category is intended to encourage construction of new classics of traditional design in wood.
